Min Read

The research focuses on developing a Robotdog designed to guide visually impaired individuals safely across complex environments like smart intersections, utilizing a collaborative decision-making framework with other autonomous systems. This system architecture separates the Networking, Decision, and Actuation layers to enhance data sharing and reliability, allowing the Robotdog to assess safety by aggregating sensor data from multiple sources, such as TurtleBots, and prioritizing trustworthy inputs. The expected impact includes increased safety and trust in assistive technology, offering a cost-effective and adaptable alternative to traditional guide dogs, while also advancing scientific understanding of collaborative autonomous systems in dynamic settings.
